Jacob Baker is the owner of Ascent Financial. Jacob is responsible for delivering comprehensive financial solutions for his clients that best suit their needs. His 10 years of consulting experience gives Jacob a unique ability to get to know you, your situation and your options then find what is best for you in the market.
Jacob graduated from Washington State University with a degree in Education. He started his professional career as a 4th grade teacher (3 yrs.) and middle school science and robotics teacher (4yrs.). Jacob left teaching to pursue his MBA from the University of Washington while working as a business consultant in several industries including education.
In his spare time Jacob enjoys spending time with his wife and family. Jacob is an avid outdoorsman. He enjoys mountain climbing, rock climbing, skiing, surfing, biking and really anything that gets him outside. He is also incredibly passionate about helping educators achieve their financial goals and bridging the gap between their DRS plan and their retirement goals.
